The Norman Foster Institute and the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology has signed a Global Partnership

The Norman Foster Institute (NFI) has signed a partnership agreement with the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) Europe to expand collaboration in education and research, with a particular focus on sustainable cities and the future of urban environments.

Under the new agreement, both institutions will explore opportunities for joint research and academic initiatives, including lifelong learning programmes and collaborative projects that address global urban challenges. The agreement was formally signed in London at Foster + Partners by Norman Foster, President of the Norman Foster Foundation and President and Programme Co- Director of the NFI and Professor Tim Marshall, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Design and Social Context and Vice-President at RMIT University. Also present at the signing were RMIT Chancellor Peggy O’Neal AO, RMIT Europe’s Executive Director Marta Fernández and Research Director Professor Laurene Vaughan.

RMIT Europe is the European hub of the RMIT University, one of Australia’s largest tertiary institutions. Founded in 1887, RMIT is a leading Australian university for design, technology and innovation.This new global partnership between RMIT and the NFI marks an important step forward in advancing shared goals in sustainability, innovation and education across continents.
