Abstract
The NFI is set to participate in Smart City Expo Curitiba 2026, one of the largest congresses in the world. This involvement underscores the NFI's commitment to advancing the quality of life in urban environments through innovative digital tools and research.
At the heart of the NFI's mission is the integration of data-driven methodologies to enhance urban living. Central to this initiative is the NFI's Centre for City Science. During the congress, the lab will present its latest research and tools to a global audience of urban innovators, policymakers and technologists, highlighting the role of digital innovation in shaping the future of informal settlements and cities of the Global South.
