3–5 July 2025

Mayors Forum

Vienna, Austria

Abstract

The Norman Foster Institute (NFI) participated in the World Cities Summit Mayors Forum, held in Vienna, Austria, and hosted by the Centre for Liveable Cities (CLC) Singapore.

Irene Martín Luque, Head of Research, presented the work of the NFI Centre for City Science during the Responsive Cities session and the Science of Cities
Networking Dialogue, both of which brought together city leaders, researchers and institutional partners to discuss new frameworks for liveability, innovation and adaptive governance. The presentation Measuring Liveability: Data as a City-Makers’ Tool to Urban Design and Governance provided tangible approaches to understanding liveability through the lenses of data.
