Council of Architecture's International Conference

June 26, 2025 – March 28, 2025

DY Patil University School of Architecture

Navi Mumbai, India

Abstract

The NFI was invited as a keynote contributor, with a presentation titled 'From Spatial Data to Urban Transformation'. Delivered by Lead Researcher Olivia Poston following the inaugural ceremony, the keynote explored the NFI's systems-based approach to diagnosing urban complexity and developing place-based, data-driven strategies for sustainable urban transformation. The presentation positioned our methodology within a broader framework of adaptive governance and spatial equity, aligning with the conference’s focus on technological disruption and societal change.

Throughout the three-day conference, the NFI was also represented in the Moderated Caucus, the research paper sessions and the concluding Town Hall discussion. These sessions brought together academics, students, city leaders and institutional partners to examine how cities can respond to technological shifts through policy innovation, multidisciplinary collaboration and inclusive design.
