Andrés Jaque

Andrés Jaque is an artist, architect, academic, and founder of the Office for Political Innovation, an initiative based in New York and Madrid that operates at the intersection of research, politics, and design. He has been awarded the 10th Frederick Kiesler Prize, the Silver Lion for the Best Research Project at the 14th Venice Biennale, the Alfred Toepfer Stiftung’s Tessenow Stipendiat, the Dionisio Hernández Gil Prize, and Architectural Record’s Designers of the Year Award.
He holds a PhD from the Technical School of Architecture of Madrid (ETSAM), is a professor at Columbia University’s GSAPP, and has served as a visiting professor at Princeton University’s School of Architecture.
